Setting out on an oily journey…

A few months ago, one of my friends signed up as distributors with Young Living. I had heard a little bit about essential oils, but really didn’t know much… and honestly, as a nurse and a science nerd, I really was skeptical.

My friend kept sharing some of her experiences with me, and we had some great conversations. Over time, I became curious enough to purchase a starter kit. I was sick about every two to three months with the “virus du jour” and I really had become motivated to find ways to naturally support my body and stay well!

The first true test has been over the last month or so- my son has been sick with a virus that turned in to a sinus infection, and during that time I’ve made a visit to urgent care, and two visits to the pediatrician. After every visit, I’ve been sure I was going to come down with something… but I kept using my immunity blend of oils, drinking lots of water and getting plenty of rest.

I’ve had intermittent congestion, and a sore throat here and there… but, THAT IS IT. I’ve kept functioning!

Without further ado, here’s my recipe for a fantastic blend of oils to support your “winter wellness”… I can’t share this without a big shout out to the awesome team I’ve come to know through Young Living – this blend is one that was shared with our group and I’m forever thankful!

10 drops Thieves, 10 drops Lemon, 5 drops Copiaba, 5 drops Oregano. Add to a roller bottle, top with carrier oil. Apply to feet morning and night.

I buy my roller bottles and carrier oil off Amazon. You can click the links to see the ones I use (not an affiliate link – I just want to share what works for me!

This blend also works great in your diffuser… in smaller amounts. I usually do 3 drops Thieves, 3 drops Lemon, 1 drop Copiaba and 1 drop Oregano. I find the Oregano especially potent – so I don’t like to diffuse it too strongly. This blend is perfect and is another way to receive the same benefits!
